1.BLK JKS, full name known as “The Black Jacks” are a rock band from Johannesburg South Africa however I’d like to say that they are a very special “Rock band” that compromises of all music genre elements, whether its Kwaito beats and Hard Core Punk Guitars with very smooth lyrics. Either way they are a special band with a special kind of music.  There are four members of the band and they are from East Rand and Soweto.

In 2007 they started releasing their music internationally with a 10-inch vinyl EP. They linked up with producer “Diplo” and shortly after they were secretly signed by American rock label secretly Canadian. This led to the release of an EP, a full-length album, an international tour and a lot of media attention from the likes of Fader magazine. In 2010 the band did collaboration with Dj Tiesto and performed at the opening concert for the 2010 World Cup in Johannesburg.
